Understanding your blood work & Naturopathic medicine:

Nastasia Irons is a Naturopathic Doctor. She is currently a clinical resident at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Her passion lies in chronic pain management, and men’s health. History of ACAS:

Dr. Alan Li a Community Based Research Fellow at Ontario HIV Network, a primary care physician at the Regent Park Community Health Centre, a community organizer and human rights activist. In his work, Alan strives to improve mental health, prevention and support services for members of ethno-racial communities infected and affected by HIV. His research focuses on issues facing ethno-racial communities, particularly issues related to men who have sex with men (MSM), immigrant and refugee communities, and the greater involvement of people with AIDS (GIPA).

Since the early 1980s, he has been the driving force behind Gay Asians Toronto. During his 20 years of work in the Toronto HIV/AIDS sector, Alan has provided valuable insights into often-over-looked segments of the population affected by the epidemic — for both service providers and researchers. In addition to creating and sharing knowledge exchange and providing superior services, Alan helped found the Committee for Accessible AIDS Treatment (CAAT). Alan also co-founded the Hong Kong 10%,Club, the first registered gay community organization in Hong Kong, and was the founding president of the Asian Community AIDS Services (ACAS).

He has been extensively involved in the Ontario Advisory Committee on HIV/AIDS (OACHA), a group that advises the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care. He was the founder of the Asian Community AIDS Services, and the multicultural Coalition against Homophobia. Alan was also the first openly gay National President of the Chinese Canadian National Council, an advocacy organization with 30 chapters across Canada.
